Adaptive Diagonal Loading Technique to Improve Direction of Arrival Estimation Accuracy for Linear Antenna Array Sensors

Diagonal loading is one of the most widely used and effective methods to improve robustness both adaptive beamformers Direction Arrival (DOA) estimation due involvement sensor received covariance matrix. In addition, subspace-based DOA techniques rely on multiple snapshots achieve high accuracies. This paper presents study a modified diagonally loaded sample matrix for accurate in adverse scenarios. The proposed novel technique deciphers poor low SNR environment by computationally changing Our method simple as it does not require peak searching depend coherency signal. efficacy examined via computer simulation various array sizes number snapshot samples. Based our numerical results, generally outperforms state-of-the-art estimators. finite single signal source, performs 9.5% better than technique, 2.8% sources, 8.5% snapshot, source gained performance.
